The Mt. Rushmore Evening Lighting Ceremony is both a powerful visual experience and an inspiring program. During the summer months, join a park ranger in the outdoor amphitheater for a 45-minute presentation highlighting the presidents, patriotism, and our nation’s history. The evening begins with a ranger talk, continues with the captioned film Freedom: America’s Lasting Legacy, and culminates with the lighting of the memorial.
The program begins nightly at 9:00 p.m. in the Amphitheater. Visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to secure seating.
